Dance With The Dead Asheville Concert reviews
Bucket list show!
After deciding that my only bucket list entry was seeing Dave live, I saw Dance With The Dead in Nola over Jazz fest weekend about a decade ago. The experience was amazing, but, in a festival setting, much less intimate than a solo show. I put seeing him back on my bucket list, an actual Dance With The Dead show specifically. When I was notified that he was coming to the DC area, I started dropping some major hints. The day the tickets went on sale, they could hardly be described as “hints” anymore. Two of the last decent seats left in the house were at long last secured, and my excitement kept building until the day of the show. Dave did not disappoint, needless to say! Even with having to pause the show for inclement weather moving through the area, Dave played his heart out, as he always does. Even my boyfriend, who has never been as big of a fan as I, was thoroughly impressed with the show, especially Dave’s stamina. I know how hard & long Dave can play, having been wondering if there would be a break mid-show. I had said I doubted it because Dave kept up as late as they’d let him, though forced to take the break for the thunderstorm to roll through. Truly impressed with Dance With The Dead, as always! Love the full band, my absolute favorite performer, adore how Dave makes a point to give each member solo time, and jams out with them. Amazing show, worthy of checking off the bucket list entry once & for all! Not that that means I won’t try to see him again!
